HISTORY
Early origins of Bill Parton Trio trace back to 2001 at Brighton Secondary School (SA). Then and there William and Andy first met each other through the special interest music scholarship programs that they were both undertaking at the time. That year, they plus some other scholars in their year level formed a 7-piece Dixieland band in which William played the Banjo funny enough! Due to various complications the Dixieland band soon dispersed. Consequential to the Dixieland band dissolving was the formation of a smaller 3-piece instrumental Piano trio featuring William on Piano and Andrew on Drums.

At the time, the repertoire mainly revolved around a mix of traditional and mainstream jazz as well as a little bit of funk and latin. That being said, the band at the time hardly performed and mostly just jammed.

It was this Piano trio that overtime drastically evolved to become 'Bill Parton Trio' as we know it today.
